CATEGORIES:
1.) 0-11 months girls, 12-23 months girls, 0-35 months boys, and 2-3 years girls compete in a BEAUTY LINE UP. Each contestant will wear the white t-shirt that each contestant will purchase at check-in (the design on the t-shirt is neon orange) and anything white on the bottom. The contestants may wear sneakers or sandals. This allows the judges to see your child close-up, it replaces the interview, no questions will be asked, parents are allowed to escort child. Boys 3-6 and Girls 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29 and 30+ compete in a private interview with a panel of 3 judges. Each contestant will wear the white t-shirt that each contestant will purchase at check-in (the design on the t-shirt is neon orange) and a wear skirt, skort, shorts, pants, or capris. The contestant may wear sandals, sneakers, or heels. Each contestant will simply state name and hobbies and will be asked one question from each of the 3 judges.
2.) 0-11 months girls, 12-23 months girls, 0-35 months boys, 2-3 years girls, 3-6 years boys, 4-6 years girls, 7-9 years girls compete in a Citrus WOW Wear. Anything lime green, canary yellow, and/or orange. It can be a party dress, swimwear, costume with props, or anything creative as long as long as the primary colors are citrus colors. Here are a few examples of Citrus Wow Wear, be creative, it is not the money you spend, but the creativity of the outfit. Routines are limited to 90 seconds. Each contestant may provide his/her own music to accompany Citrus Wow Wear. Each contestant must have 90 second track on a CD (please bring 2 copies) and turn in to our Audio Technician immediately before he/she competes on stage in Citrus Wow Wear. The Citrus Pageant will provide upbeat fun music for all those who do not bring his/her own music. There will be a list of songs you may select from at Pageant check-in. NOTE: It does not affect your score whether you bring your own music or not. 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29 and 30+ also compete in Citrus Wear, but these age divisions must wear blue jeans of ANY color and length and a citrus colored top. The top must be canary yellow, lime green, and/or orange. Other colors may be in the top, but the primary colors should be the citrus colors.
3.) All age divisions compete in the Formal Wear competitions. In this phase of competition the judges are looking for poise and grace on stage, facial beauty, and overall presentation. The formal attire for the boys should be a suit, tuxedo, or pants and dress shirt. The formal attire for the girls may be short or long, glitz or natural. Each Formal Wear Modeling Routine must be 90 seconds or less. At 90 seconds, the music will stop and the contestant must exit the stage. Citrus Productions created this guideline so that the pageant may run on time and so that each contestant is given the same opportunity to model on the Citrus Stage.

AD PAGES INFO:
Sponsors are a very important part of a successful pageant experience. Whether they are friends, relatives or businesses, they are there to help you achieve your goals and give you support! The time and effort you make to secure sponsors will pay off handsomely when you compete!
Beyond your family, additional sponsors can be key to your success as well. Additional sponsors should be obtained by everyone. We hope every contestant will strive to have at least one full page advertisement. You can have a single sponsor for a full page, or use several different sponsors to create a full page (for example, by getting four “quarter-page” ads, you create one full-page ad!). Remember, your photos will appear on every page sold by you!
Having numerous ads in the program book is a great way to show off different sides of yourself. You are encouraged to submit a different photo for every page sold.
The total price of a full-page ad is $125.00. When you are asking sponsors to buy and ad, you might find it easier to “break down” the ad into component sizes that they may more easily afford. For example, five business cards on a page at $25 each equals $125! Or perhaps two “half page” ads at $67.50 each! You can obtain sponsors at any amount, these examples are just guidelines to help you along. Don’t forget about relatives! They love to include a special message. Just write it out on a sheet of paper or email your messages; our graphic designer will make sure your ad looks its best!
Please try for at least one full page!
Anyone selling one full page will be awarded a crown on stage!
When mailing or emailing in ads, please furnish a clean copy of any logos, artwork or pictures. You may submit previous ads, letterheads, ad slick or whatever your sponsors would like to have printed in their ads. Remind your sponsors that the program book will be distributed nationally, and that your personal photo will appear on every full page you sell.
Money Making Opportunity for all contestants:
You may secure 10 sponsors per page at $50.00, for example. The advertising page still costs $125.00 and you would profit $375.00. Selling advertising pages is a great way to pay for hotel room, wardrobe, and any other cost included at the National Pageant.
Those contestants who sell five or more pages in the program book will receive a six foot trophy! Those selling 10 or more pages will also receive all optional category fees paid.
AD PAGES GUIDELINES:
Each ad page is 8 ½” by 11”
As you talk to sponsors, use a regular blank sheet of paper (8½ by 11). You and they can sketch out what you’d generally like the ad to look like, and use the back to write the “copy” or message that your sponsor(s) want to appear.
Attach your business card, letterhead, etc. with a paper clip, putting a small sheet of a paper between the photo and the paper clip. Put your first and last name at the bottom of the page. Make sure your name is on the back of the photo as well, in case they get separated. You can submit your own design for the ad, or our professional graphic designer will create an ad just for you. Please print clearly, as this will prevent any misspellings or miscommunication. Do not staple photos. Please send original photos — no laser or inkjet copies. They do not reproduce will.
The deadline is January 17th, 2012— You must call pageant headquarters in advance if you cannot make this deadline.

CITRUS CENTERFOLD:
This could be you! Open to all ages!

He or she will be featured in the center of the program book, plus he or she will receive a six foot trophy, a crown, sash, and all optional category fees paid. The contestant selling the second highest amount of ad pages will be crowned Ad Sales King/Queen. he or she will be featured on the inside front cover of our program book, plus receive a six foot trophy, crown, sash, and a gift from Citrus Productions. The contestant selling the third highest amount of ad pages will be crowned Ad Sales Prince/Princess. he or she will be feature on the inside back cover of our program book, plus receive a trophy, crown, sash and gift from Citrus Productions.

THE DEADLINE FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS TO BE PRINTED IN THE PROGRAM BOOK IS January 17, 2012
We will have a beautiful program book printed. It will be divided into two sections: The Contestant Gallery, and the Ad pages.
Program books will be on sale at the competition. They will be distributed to numerous agencies throughout the United States.
The Contestant Gallery - Every contestant must be in this section. There will be a photo of each contestant in this section. You must send your fee and photo in by the deadline. Please don’t forget to label your photo on the back — full name and age. All pictures are returned.
The ad pages - Our pageant is self-supporting, which means we depend on things like ad page sales to help promote the competition and to ensure each contestant has a great weekend with lots of keepsakes and memories!
REMINDER: THOSE CONTESTANTS WHO SELL FIVE OR MORE PAGES IN THE PROGRAM BOOK WILL RECEIVE A SIX FOOT TROPHY! THOSE SELLING 10 OR MORE PAGES WILL ALSO RECEIVE ALL OPTIONAL CATEGORY FEES PAID.
ABOUT YOUR PHOTOS:

Please make sure the photos are clear (in focus) and clean. If possible, please send one photo for the Contestant Gallery and a different photo for each Ad Page.
Our graphic designer will reduce or enlarge each photo if needed. Please paper clip the photos to your ad copy. Do not put staples or tape of any kind on photos or business cards!
